Track pants have been worn by fashionistas for quite long. I'd always love to see more Indian women applying this comfy item to their #ootd in uniquely-Indian ways. So, though it's pretty late, I decided to give it a try myself.
I want the track pants itself to be uniquely-Indian, suitable for Indian aesthetic and the weather. That's why I created Ikat Track Pants. This time I used the black one.
Bear with me as a model, hahaha...
1. Camisole
Easy and simple. But if you add some twist to the camisole, it can be still fun. As I mentioned in my previous blog, this was an ordinary simple camisole which I cut and made fringe. A tiny 'upcycle' can add a lot of fun to your look!
2. Oversized Coat
I wore an oversized coat and a baseball cap. It gives a totally different chill vibe. You don't need to wear sexy dresses to clubs all the time, what about this kind of styling?
3. Denim Jacket
Of course a denim jacket can be paired with anything. I don't have many myself, but what I imagined was to throw ALL your Indian ethnic (cheap) necklaces to your neck. The more ethnic-ey, the better.
4. Men's Shirt (Or A Dressy Shirt/Blouse)
Again it's easy. The aim is to add stylish items in the rest of the outfit, like you are wearing not track pants but silk pants or something. This is my version of India's Answer to Victoria Beckham's chic black styling!
5. Blazer
This blazer is a pretty casual oversized one, so I matched sneakers. But if yours is a dressy blazer, you can match heels. You are good to go to a dinner party.
6. Kurta
I didn't expect a kurta to look funky. But when I added a hat plus the kurta, I totally loved it! Something on your head instantly create a different mood, doesn't it?
7. Saree
Sure you can try a saree with trousers! You can experiment a lot more different ways to style. It is FUN!!!
I hope you got some inspirations from those. I'm sure you ladies can do much better than I did!!
Let's create India's Answer to the rest of the world how we style track pants!!
